Personal Statement:

I understand that a film/video is composed of numerous elements and each element adds to the overall quality of the product. I treat each aspect of the film making process with the same amount of respect, professionalism and attention. Too me, the editing is just as important as the cinematography, as the directing is just as important as the sound design.

We live in a world saturated in images, and in order for an image to stand out, it has to be extraordinary.  From the opening frame to the final composition, I want my video work to amaze the viewer with beautiful and relevant visuals. My knowledge of symbolism, art and photography is very useful for video work. Most of my favorite films feature exceptional cinematography and symbolism. The films of Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Jean Luc-Godard, Andrei Tarkovsky, Terrence Malick, Fedrico Fellini, and Martin Scorsese are notable examples of my influences.

Because of my lifelong admiration of music and my eclectic and varied tastes in the art form, I understand rhythm, tone, harmony and form very well. I can employ these musical precepts to my videos, in the form of editing and sound design. If the content of a video calls for a fast paced and exciting rhythm or a slow and enchanting pace, I can adapt accordingly. Regardless of the video content (whether it be for a wedding event, party, musical concert, documentary, training video etc.) the viewers will not be bored and will view a very professional and fresh piece of work.
